Fabric & Care
At Redono, every fabric we choose is selected with intention. We believe performance, comfort, and sustainability should coexist beautifully — and that what touches your skin should feel as good ethically as it does physically. Below, you’ll find details about the materials we use and how to care for them so they last for years to come.
Carvico Vita — Responsible Performance
Our shirts are made from Carvico Vita, a premium techno-fabric created in Italy using regenerated ECONYL® nylon yarn.
Composed of 78% recycled nylon and 22% spandex (190gsm), this fabric offers the perfect balance of structure and stretch. It’s soft yet supportive, lightweight yet durable, and designed to move effortlessly with your body. The four-way stretch provides comfort and shape retention, meaning your piece holds its form wear after wear.
Carvico Vita is:
- Certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, ensuring it’s free from harmful substances
- Produced under Made Green in Italy standards
- Created using regenerated materials such as discarded fishing nets and pre-consumer waste
The result is a high-performance fabric that resists pilling, maintains its color, and offers long-lasting durability — all while reducing environmental impact.
It’s designed to live fully with you — whether that means travel, movement, water, or everyday wear.
100% Cotton — Handcrafted & Natural
Our accessories, including sarongs and bandanas, are made from 100% cotton and hand block dyed by skilled artisans.
Cotton is breathable, biodegradable, and gentle on the skin. The hand block dyeing process gives each piece subtle variations in color and pattern — a reminder that it was made by human hands, not machines. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that individuality is part of their beauty.
Care for Longevity
Sustainability also means caring for what you own. Thoughtful washing and drying extends the life of your garments, preserves their shape, and reduces environmental impact over time.
Carvico Vita Shirts
- Delicate wash only (cold water, gentle cycle or hand wash)
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry
- Low iron if necessary
Avoid high heat when washing or drying, as it can weaken elasticity over time.
Hand Block Dyed Cotton Accessories
- Cold wash separately or with like colors
- Use mild detergent
- Do not bleach
- Line dry in shade to preserve color
- Cool iron if needed
Because these pieces are hand dyed, slight color variation and gentle fading over time are natural characteristics of the fabric.
